The following Terms and Conditions apply to all courses offered by English with Bridget. Updated July 2022.

• Courses

Include  Student Workbook, a Practice Book as well as a personalised file per individual; additional worksheets and all copies.

• Course Organisation

The organiser, English with Bridget, reserves the right to postpone courses or individual lessons, to change the place of execution or to reduce courses with a percentage reimbursement of the course fees.

• Registration Process and Course Confirmation

Registration is binding and can only be cancelled in writing and prior to the start of a course.

After you have registered for a course, you will receive an electronic invoice including bank details for transferring course fees via bank transfer.

Upon payment of course fees, you will receive a course confirmation.

In the event that a course is already full, you will be notified of this.

• Payment of Course Fees

Course fees are paid per invoice, in full and in advance, prior to the start of the course and in strict accordance with the terms of the invoice.

Currently is it only possible to make payment via bank transfer.

Payment by instalments: This option is available with prior arrangement with Bridget Höpperger. Terms of payment in instalments are to be strictly followed.

• Availability of Course Spaces

The number of participants is limited. Availability of spaces is not guaranteed, you will receive a course confirmation via email.

Course spaces are allocated on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis and subject to the timely payment of course fees.

• Lessons that are not attended

Lessons that are not attended can not be refunded.

• Substitution of lessons by English with Bridget

Should English with Bridget not be able to carry out one or more lessons as planned for unforeseeable reasons, a substitute date will be offered as far as possible. In this case, there is no entitlement to reimbursement of the course fees already paid.

If unpredictable reasons necessitate a longer break or cancellation of the remaining courses by English with Bridget, a corresponding percentage reimbursement of the already paid course fees is made on the basis of the offered and (not) performed number of lessons.

• Cancellation by participants

Cancellation by participants for any of the courses has the following cost implications:

Two months and longer before course starting date – Full Refund

Up to one month before course starting date – 50% Refund

Up to 14 days before course starting date – 20% Refund

Less than 14 days prior to course starting date – No Refund

• Cancellation by English with Bridget

English with Bridget reserves the right to make changes to the course programme as well as the Terms & Conditions without prior notice. This includes the right to postpone or cancel courses if there are insufficient registrations. A course can be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the start of the course. In the event of a cancellation, all course fees already paid by participants, will be refunded in full and without prejudice.

• Insurance & Disclaimer

The students themselves are responsible for a sufficient insurance cover. The use of the facilities at the place where the courses are held (at the moment, Primary School Bilten) is at your own risk.

For all courses and events organised by English with Bridget, no liability is accepted for damages incurred. Neither the organiser nor Bridget Höpperger nor Primary School Bilten nor any of their representatives nor employees are  liable for theft, loss of property or objects and/or accidents that may occur on the Primary School Bilten premises or its surroundings.

• Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies to all legal relations with English with Bridget.
